PTFE Expansion Joints
Our PTFE expansion joints are supplied and successfully used by a wide range of worldwide process industry customers. Their uses cover organic and inorganic chemical processing and production, including such demanding applications as agrochemical and pharmaceutical chemical production, acid processing and food manufacture. |
|
Capabilities
- 25mm - 800mm nominal bore
- Available in 2-10 convolutions
- PTFE expansion joints are hot formed from PTFE tube made by a tape wrapping process.
- The PTFE tubes have a low level of crystallinity which confers an improved flex life.
- The seamless PTFE tube has a controlled wall thickness ensuring optimum hoop strength and excellent pressure/vacuum versus temperature relationship in the finished bellows.
- End fittings have ductile cast iron flanges drilled and tapped to ANSI and DIN standards.
- Other standards and materials can be accommodated.
- Expansion joints are also fitted with stainless steel support rings and limit bolts with lock nuts.
Advantages
- Compensation for axial movement, parallel movement and angular movement
- Sound and vibration absorption and insulation
- Electrical insulation
- Universal chemical resistance
- Resistance to vapour permeation
- Long life with low maintenance
- Good high and low temperature performance
- Excellent anti-stick characteristics
- Over 20 years successful use worldwide
